Rapidol Donation

On Monday 8 September 2008, Keith Harrison, CEO of Rapidol (Pty) Ltd, manufactures of leading hair colour brand INECTO, visited the The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) in Cape Town after donating Softlene Petroleum Jelly to the organisation. The SARCS where instrumental in responding to the the plight of Xenophobic Violence victims in May and will utilise the donation from Rapidol (Pty) Ltd for their Health and Care Programme and the Disaster Management activities which responds to disasters and emergencies in the community.

"During winter and harsh weather conditions, The South African Red Cross Society responds to thousands of people who are afflicted by fires and floods and we appreciate such donations from companies like Rapidol (Pty) Ltd" said Maletsatsi Wotini, Red Cross Provincial Manager, Western Cape.

The donation from Rapidol (Pty) Ltd will benefit SARCS Health and Care Programme which serves the Orphaned and Vulnerable Children who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS in Nyanga. In addition to that, SARCS have a network of home-based carers who visit homes of HIV/AIDS patients to administer care to the sick and dying.

The handover took place in Cape Town at the SA Red Cross Society offices and was attended by the beneficiaries, SARCS Staff & Rapidol (Pty) Ltd Representatives.
