Tembelani Mafa is standing where his house used to be. Now everything is burned. Mafa was visiting Umtata in Eastern Cape by the time of the fire and came back to Langa on Monday to discover there was nothing left.

The fire had destroyed his house leaving only a pile of burned bricks behind. Luckily his wife and two children were not home at the time.

This was the second time in 12 months Mafa loses everything. He has still not finished paying the loan he took for rebuilding his house after the fire in June 2004.

At the moment Tembalani Mafa is staying with his brother while his wife and children are accommodated in a big tent nearby.
